Traktor 2.5.1 Released!

So Native Instruments has released TSP 2.5.1 which shocked me because, honestly, it's just a collection of bug fixes, not any new features.

Native Instruments isn't exactly known for fixing bugs quickly, if at all. Could they be turning a corner and actually acting upon their user bases comments in the forums?

This DJ says yes.

From NI's email:

We're pleased to announce that the TRAKTOR 2.5.1 update is now available for free download. The update contains several new features, including Pioneer HID CDJ Integration, Remix Deck and timecode advancements for all users of the newest generation of TRAKTOR. You can download the update using the NI Service Center or the Online Update Manager. We strongly recommend downloading and installing this update to ensure the best possible user experience. To install the update, please start the NI Service Center. Open the 'Update' tab, make sure the checkbox for TRAKTOR is checked, and click the 'Download' button. When the download is finished, unzip the files and run the installer.
Best regards,
Your Native Instruments team"

  1. Well, as in true Native Instruments fashion the "Update" is another 250MB download when in reality, only about 15-20MB of that is actual updates and fixes. So basically you get to reinstall Traktor all over again! That means your music collection gets a consistency check, all songs get re-analyzed, and possibly have to do all your beat-gridding again!

    Thanks NI!!
